Imagine this.
You arrive at your salon before the first client. You check today's appointments, a message from your team and the products you need to reorder.
Then you remember the Instagram post you meant to write. You need another therapist for Saturdays. Your nail technician wants to find a professional course. Your insurance renewal is approaching.
None of these jobs is unusual. Together, they explain why running a salon involves so much more than managing a calendar.
SAY-OS is being built around that whole working day.
An idea for Instagram, without starting from scratch
You want to tell clients about a service, but the words aren't coming.
On plans that include the marketing area, SAY helps you start from a draft and shape it in your salon's voice. Drafts use your salon's saved details. Copy detected as containing unsupported promotional claims is rejected and replaced with a conservative draft; you review before publishing.
Posting to Instagram from inside SAY is available today only for accounts with access to the Instagram integration; it is not yet open to everyone, and wider availability depends on Meta's review. The aim is a shorter journey from "I should post something" to a message you have checked and are happy to share.
Your suppliers, where you need them
Between appointments, you notice you are running low on a product.
A supplier list should be easy to find: who you buy from, their website and the details you need to place an order. SAY is building a Suppliers area to sit alongside stock management, so those references have a home.
You still choose the supplier and place the order yourself. The benefit is having the information together when you need it.
Finding support for your team
Perhaps you need another beauty therapist. Perhaps someone on your team wants to develop a new skill.
SAY includes partner directories for training and insurance — accredited courses and insurance products you can browse and enquire about with the providers. A talent and recruitment marketplace is on the way. You can read more on our professionals and recruitment page.
A listing is a starting point for your own checks, not a verified endorsement. Qualifications, experience, accreditation and insurance suitability still need to be assessed by you before you hire, enrol or buy.
A booking tells you when. A consultation helps you understand who.
A new client has booked. You know the appointment time and the treatment they requested — but what do you know about the person arriving?
This is where SAY: Beauty Passport adds a different perspective. Clients can record information about themselves and choose to share it with a salon. That can give you context for the conversation before treatment, rather than a booking name alone.
The record supports your consultation; it does not replace it. You still ask questions, check that the information is current and use your professional judgement — for example, recording allergies and reactions safely is still your call to make and document. A badge or a completed profile is never a substitute for that review.
One workspace, with the salon owner in control
The difference SAY is working towards is practical: bringing more of the salon's working day together. Appointments connect to clients. Stock sits near supplier information. Marketing has a place alongside the business it describes. Recruitment and professional development are part of running the team.
Where things stand. Some of this is available today; other parts are still being built or depend on outside approvals, such as Meta's review of the Instagram integration. We think that distinction matters, so we try to be clear about it rather than promise a finished product.
The goal is simple: spend less time finding the next tool, and more time making the decisions that keep your salon moving.
