Safety & Contraindications

Can I treat a client who is undergoing chemotherapy?

Sometimes — but almost never on your judgement alone. Most UK insurers and training bodies treat active cancer treatment as a *medical-referral* contraindication: you can treat, but only with written consent from the client's GP or oncology team, and often only if you hold specific oncology training. Treating without that consent can void your insurance entirely.

Why the caution is real, not box-ticking:

Every client, remembered — safely.

SAY-OS keeps each client's contraindications, allergies and history in one place, and flags them at booking — so the right call happens before they're in the chair.
